Water_Works_Park_ConceptiPhone App + Website

In partnership with NewTown Macon and AT&T, we are developing an innovative iPhone application and website that will serve as an educational tool for teachers, parents, tourists, and the like who visit the Water Works park here in Macon, Georgia or at the website (TBD). While in the park, the app will use geo-location (kind of like the gps in your car) to automatically deliver information relevant to the various historical, sociological, scientific, and fun facts of the park, including info on the formation of the river bed to the Indian artifacts and monuments. Thanks to AT&T, iPhones will be available for checkout at the Water Works Park, making this technology accessible to everyone. Local educators are populating a database that will house the information on the park, and can be accessed by anyone from the new website. This is very exciting, but we must give you a word of caution: Be careful because you never know what you are standing next to!

Our Work

close

baptiststandard"The Brainstorm Lab has done a tremendous job in developing our new website and helping us continually improve it. We're thrilled with the work they've done.

Here are the best parts:

1. They're smart. Maybe that doesn't stand out to you, because lots of IT folks are smart. But it gets better. ...
2. They listen. Instead of fake-listening and then doing whatever they want with a site, they actually listen and give clients what they want. And better still ...
3. They speak plain English. This will be a shock to most people who have hired IT consulting, but these guys actually explain what they intend to do and how it will work in words non-techies can understand. What a relief. What a pleasure."

lightbulbconeIdea People

We're idea people ("brainstorm lab... get it?"), and that means ideas tend to pop up while we work on projects. Sometimes it's a new or better way to do something, sometimes it's a new feature that will help reach more people, and sometimes it's an idea for how you can make more money. So if you work with The Brainstorm Lab, don't be surprised if we start tossing additional ideas your way.

Social Networking

There's a lot of buzz about social networking (Facebook, Twitter, etc) these days, and it's true that a lot of companies and organizations are using the services to connect with their audience. We understand how social networking works, and can help you develop a sound strategy for building a presence there.

Media Forms

The best communications approaches use a wise mixture of tools to share a message. Because we can develop websites, produce video, design printed materials and packaging, write content and do photography, we can help you create a message that uses the best tools to get your message to the right people.

The Brainstorm Lab Introduces Suite Spot!
Written by Mark Strozier

The Brainstorm Lab launched The Suite Spot web services during the fleeting minutes between February 28th and March 1st, more commonly referred to as The Leap Minutes of FebruMar. "It Saves Trees and It Saves Lives..." said Heather "OhDorian" Kemp as she answered questions during the press conference. The Launch Party, a red carpet/black tie event was hailed as the event of The Leap Minute. Tens of people stood, jaw dropped in awe as Bert "Pop2B" Christopher demonstrated just how easily it is to update the website. "So simple even a drooling idiot wearing a safety helmet could do it..." stated Bert moments before getting heckeled by a consortsium of several drooling idiots wearing safety helmets flared their anger. Sandra "VideAwe" Franklin thought she could quell the unruly bunch by launching a whole open bag of red hots their way but that tended only to cause mass pandamonium!

While the crowd was in a state of riot, you could hear Stacey "just call her Stacey" Stone yelling "...but it Saves LIVES!" just before she was dropped to the floor by the raucous bunch.

Go. Look at Suite Spot yourself and remember "Suite Spot. It Saves Lives!"

Innovation on Display
Written by Bert Christoppher
lightbulb3We are constantly looking for the latest and greatest, whether it be tech devices and gadgets (droid and iphone), methodology and workflow standards (open source matters) or just a better lunch (ron & cheng's). It's always refreshing to see the indominable human spirit continuing to persevere - no matter the current climate.

Today, Time magazine released it's annual picks of the best new gadgets and breakthrough ideas of the year, an eccentric collection of the year's most inspiring ideas and innovations.

Some of our favorites include an "LED lightbulb that emits the same amount of light as its incandescent equivalent but uses less than 10 watts and lasts for 25,000 hours — or 25 times as long.
